Barn approx 65 metres to east-north-east of Chapel Garth

Barn. Probably late C17. Rubblestone, stone slate roof. Approx 4 bays. North front: quoins; through-slates. Square putting holes/vents. To left of centre a blocked elliptical-arched doorway with composite jambs, tiestones and monolithic lintel. Later window at right end. At higher level on left a dripcourse across approx one bay; at eaves on right a small rectangular openings with chamfered lintel. Rear (south) front: doorway at right end, partly concealed by heightened ground level, has moulded stone surround with monolithic chamfered lintel projecting from wall. To its left, in line with front doorway, a blocked doorway with one quoined jamb surviving. Towards left end a low-level chamfered slit window with cavetto moulding. Left, (west) gable: at high level a small 2-light mullion window. Right (east) gable: tablestones indicate, formerly-attached building, had steeply-pitched roof, probably thatched.
