Description
Chapels Farmhouse is a farmhouse, likely built in the late 17th century, that has been converted into a house. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and features a slate roof. There is one chimney on the ridge, originally located at the left gable, and additional chimneys at both present gables. The original structure had a two-bay baffle entry, with an extra bay added to the left end in the 18th century. The building is two storeys tall, with the entrance located at the junction of the first and second bays, which is now covered by a modern porch. To the right of the entrance, there are two mullioned windows on each floor, all featuring chamfered mullions. The ground floor windows consist of six and five lights with linked hoodmoulds, while the first floor has four and five lights. The first bay has altered windows in 18th-century openings. The right return wall has a blocked first-floor window with a hoodmould. At the rear, there is a two-storey extension, likely from the late 18th century. The interior has been altered.
