Description

These are two houses located on Tynemouth Road, dating to approximately 1790. They are built of sandstone ashlar with a Welsh slate roof. The houses have a basement, two storeys, and an attic, with each house featuring a three-bay facade. Each house has a six-panelled door set beneath a radial fanlight, all within an open-pedimented Tuscan doorcase located in the third bay. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, with plain reveals. They have sill bands, a first-floor band, a gutter cornice, and a balustraded parapet. Bargeboarded dormers have been inserted into the roof. Each house has an ashlar chimney, raised in brick, at one end.
