Description

These three houses at 1-3 Tynemouth Terrace date from around 1830. They are constructed of brick with sandstone ashlar dressings, and have a Welsh slate roof with flat stone gable copings. The buildings are arranged over a basement, two storeys, and an attic, with two bays per house. Each house has a 6-panelled door within a flat Tuscan doorcase, featuring a high entablature and prominent cornice. The sash windows retain their glazing bars, and have wedge stone lintels and sill bands. Dormers are raked from the ridge on houses 1 and 2. A wider dormer has been inserted into house number 3. The end chimneys are finished with ashlar cornices. House number 3 is included in the listing due to its group value.
