Description
Nos 5 and 6 Dawson Square are two houses built around 1860. They are constructed of English bond brick with an ashlar plinth and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings have a basement, three storeys, and attics, featuring three bays on each house.
On the left side, there is a door with a large overlight set in an architrave beneath a bracketed canopy. A sash window has been inserted in a similar opening in the fourth bay, while another door has been added in the sixth bay. The ground and second floor sash windows have wedge stone lintels and projecting stone sills, and there is a continuous sill band on the first floor that aligns with the door canopy. The roof is adorned with six round-headed dormers and has two end chimneys and one central brick chimney.
