Description
The granary, byres, and lofts located to the east of North Farmhouse date from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared tooled sandstone with ashlar dressings and quoins, topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring flat stone gable copings. It has two low storeys and three wide bays, with a boarded door on the left, a Dutch door on the right, and a central hit-and-miss window with a four-pane upper section, all set beneath pecked stone lintels. There are ventilation slits on the left and above. The byres and loft section is also two low storeys and consists of five bays that are slightly set back, featuring five segmental arches on square piers. The left side has five hit-and-miss windows with four-pane glazed upper sections. Inside, the building includes stalls, a feeding passage, and a drainage channel.
