Description
Milkhope Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1806, as indicated on the front door lintel, with later 19th-century additions. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features a Welsh slate roof with stone copings and corniced ashlar stacks. The building has two storeys and three windows. A central late 19th-century part-glazed gabled porch encloses a six-panel door with a plain overlight in a chamfered surround. There are paired sash windows on either side of the porch, and the first floor has 12-pane sashes in wooden box frames. The farmhouse has end chimneys and two parallel rear wings, each two storeys high with two bays, which are also later 19th-century but similar in style. This building is included for its group value.
