3/1 Tocketts House (The Kennels) and extension.

House, 2 builds : early C18 (R.H.S.), early C19 (L.H.S.). Painted, coursed dressed random sandstone; Welsh slate roof; stone ridge and gable copings and kneelers to R.H.S. Central stack. Cross-passage with internal passage walls part removed. l½ storeys. Blocked central doorway with chamfered surround. 2 chamfered ground-floor windows containing Yorkshire sashes with glazing bars, boarded up. 2 C19 skylights. Chamfered window openings (boarded and blocked) to E. and N. (rear) elevations. Stone plinth. Later part : painted chevron dressed sandstone; Welsh slate roof; stone gable copings. 2 stacks: stone with cornice to LHS, brick to RHS, at gables. 2 storeys, 3 bays, sash windows with glazing bars and painted stone sills. Central doorway with late C19 glazed timber porch, gabled, slated with barge boards. Listing includes mid C19 single-storey extension to W. gable of later house; rendered; hipped slate roof. Earlier part : disused and dilapi- dated at time of survey. Farm outbuildings to N. of Tocketts House are too much altered to be of interest.
