Description
This is a range of farm outbuildings that includes a barn, stables, cart shed, fold yard, and horse gin, located to the east of Plantation Farmhouse. They were built in the early to mid-19th century. The structures are made of dressed and random rubble sandstone, with later buildings constructed from brick. The roofs are covered with clay pantiles and feature hipped and gabled designs, complete with stone ridge and gable copings. The horse gin, situated on the southeast side of the range, has a square plan and is supported by dressed sandstone piers with half-walls in between. Although there is no machinery present, the original roof structure remains intact. There are later extensions on the southwest and northeast sides, as well as to the southeast, but these are not of interest. The buildings are included partly for their group value with Plantation Farmhouse.
