Description
Upleatham Bridge is a road bridge over a stream, built in 1755 and widened in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar. The original eastern elevation features a single segmental arch with a moulded extrados and a chamfered drip string at the base of the parapet. The 19th-century elevation has a similar arch but includes a keystone, a plain band at the base of the parapet, and a weep-hole at the northern end of the western parapet with a straight water shoot. The bridge has tapered buttresses at the abutments.
