Description

This Methodist chapel dates to 1862. It is a simple rectangular building situated on the south side of Guisborough Upleatham village. The chapel is constructed of dressed sandstone and has a Welsh slate roof with stone ridge copings. A stone tablet above the doorway reads "Wesleyan Chapel Erected 1862." The right-hand side of the facade features a six-panelled, part-glazed door. Three lancet windows, each with a blocked trefoil head, stone sills and quoin surrounds, are fitted with iron casements. Two similar windows are located in the gable. The interior is plain and features pine fittings original to the building.
