Description
The building is a village hall, originally a Parochial School, constructed in 1871. It is made of rockfaced sandstone and features Welsh slate roofs, which include three small timber ventilation dormers with barge boards. An ornamental stone stack is located on the right-hand side. The hall has a rectangular plan with a porch that projects forward. It is a single-storey structure with an asymmetrical design. On the left side, there are two 3-light lancet windows with quoin surrounds, hood-moulds, and cast-iron casements. The porch includes angle-buttresses and pointed-arched side doorways. The front has three linked circular windows with hood-moulds. The main roof extends over the porch, which is topped by a stone bell-cote. To the right side of the porch, there is a one-light and a two-light lancet window, similar to those on the left.
