Description

The boundary garden walls and gatepiers for numbers 14 to 20 in Upleatham Village are a Grade II listed feature that serves as a unifying element for this group of buildings, which includes the Village Hall. These walls are constructed from rock-faced and dressed local sandstone and feature sloped and saddleback copings. They date from the same period as the buildings they enclose. Notably, the east wall of No. 14 includes a low niche that contains the remains of an old water supply standpipe. This structure is included for its group value.
