Description

Upleatham Post Office is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed from chevron dressed sandstone and has a mid-20th century concrete tiled roof. The building features three stacks and stone gable coping on the right-hand side. It is two storeys high, with two windows on each floor. The windows are three-light Yorkshire sashes that slide in the center and have glazing bars, along with painted stone sills and keystones. The central entrance is a four-panelled door, also with a painted keystone. There are two-light Yorkshire sashes on the west gable. The building was marked as "Checkers Inn" on the 1856 six-inch Ordnance Survey map.
