Description

The building is a byre and shelter shed located approximately 40 yards north-west of The Peels Farmhouse. The byre dates from the 18th century, while the shelter shed was built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from squared stone and random rubble, topped with a Welsh slate roof.

The shelter shed is a single storey and features two segmental arches, with the roof hipped on the left side. The byre, which is two storeys tall and has a granary above, consists of three bays. It has three boarded doors set in alternating-block surrounds, two of which are topped with massive lintels. The granary has shuttered windows. The building is capped with a steeply-pitched roof that has reverse-stepped gables.
