Description

This milepost, located approximately 100 yards southeast of Twizell North Lodge, dates from the 19th century. It is made of cast iron and stands about 2 feet high. The milepost has a triangular shape with a canted triangular top. One side is inscribed with the letter "A" for Alnwick, while the other side features the letter "B" for Belford.
