Description

Rayheugh House is a house built between 1830 and 1840, constructed of ashlar stone with a Welsh slate roof. The building is designed in an L-shape, with a later 19th-century addition in the re-entrant angle. It has two storeys and three bays, featuring a central six-panel door with an overlight above. The windows are 12-pane sashes with projecting sills, and the stone eaves add to the architectural detail. The gabled roof has slightly ridged coping, and there are corniced stacks at the ends.

The rear wing, which has two bays, displays similar architectural details. Inside, the house features a staircase with stick balusters, as well as six-panel doors and shutters.
