Description
Snipehill and the attached stable is a cottage and stable built in the mid-18th century. It is constructed from dressed stone and has a pantiled roof. The building is single storey and features seven irregular bays. There is a boarded door located in a lean-to porch in the sixth bay. The stable has a stable-type door in the second bay, which has a cambered lintel inscribed with "TH," likely referring to Thomas Haggerston of Ellingham. To the left, there is an old 16-pane sash window, while the other windows have been renewed to 12-pane sashes. The roof is steeply pitched and has reverse-stepped gables, with a stack at the right end and another at the ridge.
