Description

Wandylaw Farmhouse is a late 18th-century house located in Ellingham. It is constructed of ashlar stone with a plinth, and has a Welsh slate roof. The service wing is of dressed stone, and brick chimneys are present. The main house is two storeys high and has three bays. A late 19th-century glazed porch occupies the centre of the facade. The windows are renewed 12-pane sashes, with a cornice detail. The gabled roof has kneelers, raised coping, and end stacks. A lower, two-storey, one-bay service wing is attached to the left side. At the rear, a round-headed stair window features intersecting glazing bars, alongside several other 12-pane sashes. The interior includes 6-panel doors, shutters, and a very spacious open-well staircase with stick balusters and turned newels.
