Description

This is a milepost located approximately 80 metres south of Broom House roundabout, likely dating from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and is painted white with black figures. The milepost has a triangular plan with an open back. The inscriptions indicate distances to Alnwick (1 mile) and Belford (13 miles), with the figures raised except for the second figure.
