Description

24 and 26 Walkergate is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high and features a two-over-one window arrangement. To the west, there is a single-storey annexe with an entrance. The building has a slate roof with high verges and gable end chimneys. On the first floor, there are two-light casement windows, while the ground floor has Yorkshire sash windows. Originally, this structure consisted of two cottages with a paired doorway in the centre, and there is one blocked window on the ground floor. The ground floor openings are adorned with keystones in the masonry above the lintels. The east gable end includes two glazing bar sash windows, a two-storey one-window annexe to the north, and an additional single-storey range.
