This is a milepost, likely from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and painted white with black figures. The milepost has a triangular shape with an open back and features a raised inscription indicating the distances: 4 miles to Morpeth and 15 miles to Alnwick. It stands approximately 0.75 meters tall.
