Description

This is a milepost, likely from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and painted white with black figures. The milepost has a triangular shape with an open back and features a raised inscription indicating the distance to Morpeth (6 miles) and Alnwick (13 miles). It stands approximately 0.75 meters tall.
