Description

This is a milepost located approximately 420 metres north of the track to Heckley Fence, likely dating from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and is painted white with black figures. The milepost has a triangular shape with an open back. The inscriptions indicate distances: Alnwick is 3 miles away, and Belford is 11 miles away, with the figures raised except for the second figure.
