Description

This milepost, likely from the mid-19th century, is located 40 metres north of the entrance to Heckley House. It is made of cast iron and is painted white with black figures. The milepost has a triangular shape with an open back. The inscriptions indicate distances to Alnwick (2 miles) and Belford (12 miles), with the figures raised except for the second figure.
