Description

This milepost, located approximately a quarter mile south of Moss Hall, dates from the early to mid-19th century and is made of cast iron. It stands about 2 feet high and has a triangular shape with a rounded back and a canted top. One side is inscribed with "WR" for Wooler, the opposite side has "BER" for Berwick, and the top features "MOR" for Morpeth.
