Description

This is a milepost dating from the early to mid-19th century, made of cast iron and standing approximately 18 inches high. It has a triangular shape with a rounded back and an angled top. The sides are inscribed with "WR" for Wooler, "Be" for Berwick, and the top features "MOR" for Morpeth. The milepost is located 50 yards north of the road to Doddington Northmoor.
