Description
This is a milepost located 1.5 miles north of Doddington Village, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and stands approximately 18 inches high. The milepost has a triangular shape with a rounded back and an angled top. It is inscribed on the sides with "WR" for Wooler, "Be" for Berwick, and "MOR" for Morpeth on the top.
