Description
The garden wall and gate piers located east and north of Doddington South Farm date from the 18th and 19th centuries. The wall is constructed of random rubble, while the gate piers are made of ashlar stone.
The gate piers are square and topped with pyramidal caps. To the left of the gates, there is a short section of serpentine wall that ramps down and features steeply pitched coping. To the right of the gates, a similar wall rises higher and splits into a double wall, with one section positioned behind and above the other. The lower wall is supported by 20th-century sloped buttresses. At the north-east corner and along the north side, the wall is again single and approximately 15 feet high.
