Description

This is a milepost located by Lowick Vicarage, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features an oval tablet mounted on a short iron post with two oval facets. One facet is inscribed with "BEL" for Belford, while the other facet reads "COR" for Cornhill, along with the distances of 8 and 11 miles. The top of the milepost is marked with "FORD 4".
