Description

This is a milepost located half a mile west of Dunsall, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features an oval tablet with two oval facets mounted on a short iron post. One face is inscribed with "BEL" for Belford, while the other side has "COR" for Cornhill, along with the distances of "10" and "9 MILES" and "FORD" at the top.
