Description

This is a milepost located about a quarter of a mile northeast of Ford Village. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and is made of cast iron. The post is short and fluted, featuring an oval top with two oval facets. One side is inscribed with "BEL" for Belford, and the opposite side has "COR" for Cornhill, indicating a distance of 12 miles to Belford and 7 miles to Cornhill.
