Description

This railway viaduct, built in 1849 for the York, Newcastle and Berwick Railway, is located approximately 100 yards north of West Learmouth. It is constructed of rock-faced stone and features brick arches. The structure has seven high round arches supported by corniced piers and rusticated voussoirs. At each end of the bridge, there are two broad flat pilasters.
