Description

This milestone, located approximately 50 yards south-east of East Lodge, dates from around 1830. It is made of sandstone and is painted white. The stone is triangular in shape and stands about 30 inches high. One side is inscribed with "Otterburn," while the other side features the distances to "Newcastle 15 miles" and "Jedbro 39 miles."
