Description
The walls, gate piers, and gates in front of Horton Grange date from around 1864. They are constructed from coursed squared sandstone and ashlar, with wooden gates. The walls feature round-topped coping and enclose the garden of the house. Corniced square gate piers support the wooden gates, which include dog bars. According to Kelly's directory from 1858, the house and farm buildings of this model farm were described as the most complete and extensive in Northumberland.
