Description
The crenellated retaining wall located to the north-east of Prospect House dates from the late 19th century. It is partly curved and constructed from snecked smooth ashlar. The wall runs approximately 20 to 25 yards long and stands about 3 to 4 feet high, supporting the terrace of Prospect House. It is buttressed from the bank to Hallstile Bank, situated between Nos 14 and 14A.
