Description
Nos 24 and 26 Hall Stile Bank are mid-19th century buildings that stand two storeys high and feature three windows. They have a gable end facing the street and are constructed of ashlar stone. The buildings have a plinth, with side piers and gable verges that project slightly. The first floor has single hung glazing bar sash windows, and there is a tablet below the central window on the first floor, although the inscription has been erased. The paired doors have a joint hood and consist of five-panel doors with rectangular lights above.
These buildings, along with Nos 28 and 34, and the entrance gateway to the Henry King Memorial Alms-houses, form a group of architectural interest, with Nos 28 and 34 noted for their local significance.
