Description
17 Hall Stile Bank is an 18th-century building featuring a steeply pitched slate roof and two storeys. The first floor has four rough ashlar glazing bar sash windows, with the second window from the left being partly blocked and altered. There are two entrances, both with raised surrounds and flat hoods, with the lower entrance located on the left. An awning extends over two ground floor windows on the right. The gable on the east side has two glazing bar sash windows and one window in the attic. To the right, there is a gabled three-storey extension that has been much repaired on the north and east sides, with horizontal sliding sash windows on the ground floor. Number 17 and the retaining wall in front of numbers 9 to 17 form a group with numbers 1 to 15 (odd), all of which are of local interest.
