Description
The former stable building located to the north-west of Prospect House is a Grade II listed structure. It is situated behind No. 12 and No. 14 Hallstile Bank, on the same level as Prospect House. This building is part of the stable block that served a large house that once occupied the site of Prospect House, some remnants of which are still visible from the north. The building is constructed of painted rubble and features an entrance from Hallgate at the rear of No. 12 Hallstile Bank, along with disused double doors to the south at the back of Prospect House. Notably, there is a sundial above the entrance, dated 1728. The building is topped with crow stepped gables and has a stone slate roof.
