Description
32 Hall Stile Bank is a mid-18th century building that stands two storeys high with a basement. The front is rendered above a plinth and features raised quoins, a first-floor cill string, an eaves cornice, verges, and kneelers. The cornice is adorned with grouped modillions. The slate roof has stepped brick chimneys. The building has late glazed sash windows with architraves and a central entrance that is topped with a hood supported by consoles. The entrance has a two-leaf 19th-century door. There are remains of mid-19th-century railings in the area. At the rear, there are two raking dormers. Nos 24 to 34 (even) along with the entrance gateway to the Henry King Memorial Alms-houses form a group, with Nos 28 and 34 being of local interest.
