Description

This well, located about 50 yards south of the junction with the A698 in Cornhill-on-Tweed, was built in 1842. It is constructed from dressed stone and features a small square enclosure with walls approximately 4 feet high, topped with arched coping. At the back of the enclosure, there is the well itself, which has a dated lintel and an apsidal recess.
