Description
This cart shed and attached forge, located approximately 30 yards west of Towermartin Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. The structure is built of random rubble and features a pantiled roof. It is a single-storey building with a four-bay cart shed on the right, supported by three round rubble pillars that have roughly squared capitals and wooden lintels. To the left is the blacksmith's forge, which includes a window with a stone lintel and sill, as well as a double door. The interior of the forge remains intact but has been repaired, and there is a new chimney.
