Description
The building is a stables, cart shed, and forge located approximately 20 yards south-west of Coupland Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of porphyry rubble with dressed sandstone quoins and features a pantiled roof. The structure is single storey and has 10 irregular bays.
On the left side, the forge has a stable-type door and a half-shuttered window. Next to it is the smith's cottage, which includes a boarded door and a 6-pane casement window. To the right of the cottage is another stable, also featuring a stable-type door and a half-shuttered window. The cartshed on the far right has four segmental arches supported by square piers and a gabled roof.
