AKELD A697 (West side) Akeld Lodge

GV II

Lodge. Early C19. Random rubble and ashlar with ashlar dressings. Welsh slate roof and brick chimneys.

Single storey with attic.

Facade is single-storey with central canted ashlar bay containing 3 small windows with moulded surrounds and hoodmoulds. Right of this is a boarded 2-leaf door with a similar surround.

½-hipped roof with overhanging eaves supported at corners by square panelled columns with bases and moulded cornices.

Returns each have a ground floor and an attic window with moulded surround and hoodmould.

C20 addition to rear, not of special interest.
