Description
The gates, gate piers, and screen wall at the North Lodge to Coupland Castle date from the early to mid-19th century. They feature random rubble walls complemented by ashlar piers and coping. The wrought-iron gates are designed with spearhead bars and half bars. The structure includes low concave quadrant walls with chamfered coping, which lead to square piers with pyramidal caps at the outer ends. The gate piers are similar in style but larger in size.
