Description
The garden wall and shed located at the rear of Coupland Castle date from the early 19th century. The wall is constructed of random rubble, featuring dressed stone quoins and coping, and is lined with brick in English garden wall bond on the inside. It forms the east, west, and north sides of the garden behind the house, with the wall on the east side attached to the house and, in some areas, serving as part of the house's rear wall. The wall stands approximately 10 feet high and has a flat coping. There are two boarded doors on the north wall.
At the north-east corner, there is a garden shed that is attached to the outside of the wall. The lower courses of the shed are made of random rubble, while the upper part is constructed from old brick. It features a boarded door set in an alternating-block surround.
