Description

Earle Mill Cottage is an 18th-century cottage situated in Earle. Constructed of random rubble with a Welsh slate roof, the cottage originally comprised a single storey with a granary above, later extended to two storeys. It has four irregular bays. A flight of three steps leads to a boarded door located in the second bay, flanked by an 8-pane Yorkshire sash window. A smaller 4-pane window is situated to the right. On the first floor are two 9-pane sashes and one 8-pane Yorkshire sash window. The gabled roof is punctuated by a brick ridge stack. A single-storey addition to the rear, dating to the 20th century, is of no particular architectural interest. The cottage is listed for its group value.
