Description
The building consists of stables and cottages located approximately 35 yards northeast of Fenwick Steads Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from dressed stone and features a pantiled roof with brick chimneys. The structure comprises two ranges set at right angles to each other and is single storey.
The east range serves as the cottages, showcasing irregular openings that include two plank doors, three 12-pane sash windows, one 9-pane sash window, and one 16-pane sash window. The north range contains the stables and another cottage, featuring six bays with three plank doors, one stable door, and one 12-pane sash window.
Both ranges have steeply-pitched gabled roofs with flat coping and three ridge stacks.
