Description

This ice house, dating from the early 19th century, is located approximately 60 yards north-west of The Tower. It is constructed from roughly-dressed stone and measures about 15 feet in diameter and 12 feet high. Access to the ice house is through a short tunnel that originally featured a brick vault, although this has mostly collapsed. The interior is currently blocked up but is reported to be complete.
