Description
This limekiln, located approximately 200 yards north-east of Greenchesters, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from snecked stone and features a canted screen with three steeply-pitched triangular openings. Inside, the openings are corbelled down to round-headed drawing eyes. Large raking buttresses are positioned between the openings, and the pot is lined with brick.
